2025 Unitec Pacific Scholarships
Unitec Pacific Scholarships were established to support our Pacific students pursue and stay in their studies at Unitec. These scholarships recognise the success of starting a new endeavour, of completing and progressing from one programme to a new higher level programme and of continuing in a programme as a high-achieving student.
Te Pou Angitū
Te Pou Angitū were established in 2019 to encourage Māori students to pursue tertiary education at Unitec in either a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor level programme.

The Anna Smith Nursing Scholarship for Pacific Students scholarship is designed to continue Anna’s legacy and her commitment to Pacific students. This scholarship is designed to support students in their studies by contributing towards education related costs.
Āheinga Equity Scholarship
Unitec is committed to providing an inclusive, barrier free environment that celebrates diversity. The financial support that this scholarship offers is intended to provide learners with disabilities, support for education related costs or other living costs that could be a barrier to study.
Unitec Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarships
The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support to high achieving Pacific learners in undergraduate degree programmes who are motivated to make a positive difference in society.
Unitec Pacific Progression Scholarships
The purpose of this scholarship, established in 2019, is to encourage Pacific students who have successfully completed their programme of study at Unitec, to continue their higher education in a new programme of study. Pacific Progression Scholarship Recipients are expected to be involved and participate in the Unitec Pacific Community.
The scholarship is open to domestic Pacific students across Unitec, in Level 3 to 8 programmes that take at least one semester of full-time study to complete.
Te Pou Aupiki
The Te Pou Aupiki Karahipi were established in 2019 to encourage Māori students who successfully complete their programme of study to continue their tertiary education at Unitec.
Te Pou Hiranga
The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support to high achieving Māori learners in undergraduate degree programmes who are motivated to make a positive difference in society.
Keystone Key Partner Scholarships 2026
These scholarships are targeted at students already studying property and construction at tertiary level, where one year of mentoring and financial support will really make a difference.
He Kahu Kōrero – Cloaks that Speak (Matariki Exhibition)
An exhibition of handwoven whatu kākahu (cloaks) created by whānau Māori from three local reo rūmaki (Māori immersion) schools. Through weaving and storytelling, this exhibition explores the aspirations of whānau for their reo and cultural identity.
