The Award is available for a student who will be enrolled in 2025 in the third year or above of a degree or post-graduate degree in an Arts-related area at a NZQA-accredited tertiary institute in the Auckland or Northland region.
Kate Edger Master's Degree Awards
To assist women graduates to carry out full-time study for a Master’s Degree at an approved Institute in the Auckland area. The awards will be made for a year of study that includes either coursework and/or a research component.
Kate Edger Foundation- Macandrew Award in Performing Arts
This award arises from a donation from the Titirangi and Blockhouse Bay Branch of the New Zealand Women’s Institute and is in memory of Mrs MacAndrew, a long-time member and benefactor of the Branch and a talented pianist. It is to assist a woman enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts at Unitec. The successful candidate must live in West Auckland.
SPCA Pet Insurance Future Animal Carer’s Grant
SPCA is New Zealand’s most recognised and best-loved animal welfare organisation. SPCA understands that qualified Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses are essential in assisting with protecting and maintaining pet health. For that reason, they aim to support people interested in getting into roles related to Veterinary Medicine, Animal Care, and Animal Sciences by providing the SPCA Pet Insurance Future Animal Carer’s Grant.
2024 Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Scholarships
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Scholarships were established to encourage Māori students to pursue tertiary education at Unitec. Registered members of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei or Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara are invited to apply for this scholarship for study from a Level 3 Certificate through to a Masters Degree at Unitec.
