Aim: 
To enable the student to examine complex engineering issues related to the generation and transmission of electricity.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Technology programme to enrol in this course. Restriction: ETEC6422.
Topics include: 

Appropriate selection from following topics.
Electricity generation
technologies, social and economic implications, industry trends
Electricity transmission
design, operation and performance of transmission technologies, industry trends
Transformer technologies
design, operation and performance of various transformer configurations, industry trends
