This course aims to develop knowledge of contexts for professional art-based practice that promotes students’ self-reliance in conducting a focused, self-generated project. Through this process, students will exhibit the ability to selectively adapt and apply their creative process through visual language, critical analysis and self-evaluation.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Creative Enterprise programme to enrol in this course.

For Visual Art
Comprehensive understanding and application of design methodology as related to painting practice through the critical analysis of the relationship of drawing to painting Purposeful articulation and application of compositional principles
Refinement of technical and practical knowledge of media, materials and painting construction Appropriate utilisation and application of presentation techniques and documentation, Integration of `theory? and `practice?
Clarification of position within contemporary practice through the critical evaluation of historical and theoretical implications Interdependence and critical analysis in visual research
