Shannon Wallis from Unitec’s Environmental Science Research Centre spoke to current affairs show Seven Sharp about the importance of home-owners checking for asbestos before staring home renovations. The ESRC is working in partnership with the construction industry and safety organisations to raise awareness of domestic asbestos exposure risks, as much of NZ’s pre-2000 housing stock is likely to contain asbestos-containing materials
