School Holiday Workshops

There are over 100 programmes on offer at Unitec. Imagine if you could upskill in one of these areas during the school holidays.

When you attend a workshop you'll learn from experts, and even go home with a certificate of participation. Best of all, they're free. Instead of payment all we ask is that you give us a koha of canned food. All proceeds go to people in need (including our own Unitec students).

It's all about you and your journey. Adding to your skill set and getting a feel for tertiary life at the same time.

So if there's a workshop you're keen on, book now.

July School Holidays

In July there were workshops for aspiring Actors, Dancers, Early childhood practitioners, Filmmakers and Architectural designers.

Here's what some of the participants had to say...

"I learnt so much!! About people, myself, the craft itself, the industry. Honestly very detailed too, as I have completed many workshops before and this one again taught something new and different." - Acting for Stage and Screen

"I enjoyed everything from muscle and bone which was totally new and also learning the traditional mau rakau. It was such an experience." - Takirua Winter Dance Workshop

"It was a fantastic experience. I learned a lot about the whole subject but also found more about the course here. Very helpful considering I'm interested in the subjects as a career. I liked the fact it was hands on (clay, book etc) I felt I was able to see from childrens perspectives" - Intro to ECE

"[I enjoyed] the overall vibe of the workshop. It has like a 'family' feel to it." - Screen Bites
