Aim: 
To provide the students with an understanding of dc and ac electrical machine dynamics and control.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Technology programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: APTE6607.
Topics include: 

Transformers, Induction motors, Synchronous machines, Motor starting and protection, Motor speed control and dynamics, Fractional horsepower motors.
