- To enable students to further develop an understanding of the principles and practice of geology in the context of civil engineering.
- Pre-requisites / Co-requisites:
- Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering Technology programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: ENGG MG5107 or ENGGMG5007. Co-requisite: ENGGMG5009.
- Topics include:
1. Classification and description of rocks.
2. Geological maps.
3. Rock mass classification.
4. Geophysical and subsurface techniques.
