Aim: 
This course looks at how tikanga Māori and specific types of Māori engagement and interaction can be translated into contemporary Māori and non-Māori spaces. In order to achieve this the course is designed to provide a practical foundation of both Māori protocol and service design. An understanding of Tikanga Maori, particularly as it pertains to the marae, is critical to understanding and shaping modern spaces and experiences. During this course students will also develop an expert understanding of cultural sensitivity, ethics and appropriate methodologies of key practitioners and theorists associated with a specialist area of study.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Master of Creative Practice or the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Practice or the Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Practice to enrol in this course.
