Empowering Futures for Māori and Pacific fanau
We’d love for you and your whānau/aiga to join us next Thursday, 15th February 2024, at 3 pm for Empowering Futures for Māori & Pacific fanau.
If you’re still thinking about studying at Unitec, it’s not too late. We’re here to help get you across the line – whether it’s how to fund your studies or manage study on top of your other commitments.
Plus, you’ll get to meet our Māori and Pasifika kaimahi (staff) who can help with your application, tell you more about Unitec and who will manaaki (support) you during your studies.
If you’re already enrolled, it’s a chance to sit down with our support teams and ask any lingering questions.
Here’s what this session will cover: (plus, we’ll also have some kai!)
- Fund your studies - We’ll guide you through your options for loans and allowances, the fees-free tertiary policy, and grants and hardship
- Scholarships - We have many scholarships like Whai Ake, Unitec Pacific Scholarships and much more, which we can help you apply for
- Student support services - Meet the dedicated teams who provide academic and wellbeing support, including Pacific Success, the Maia whānau and the Student Success team
- Applying to study - Got a question about your application? Sit down with one of the team to figure out your next steps. Bring in your ID and other documents – check out the enrolment tips below.
