Aim: 
The purpose of this course is to enable the student to discuss the operational requirements of an automotive workshop at level 6 .
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Technology programme to enrol in this course. Restriction: TTEC6315.
Topics include: 

INDICATIVE CONTENT 1. Service centres, repair centres, vehicle sales, parts sales, dealerships, wholesalers, dismantlers, problem identification, problem analysis, implementation of corrective measures
, organizational obligations, customer obligations, warranty claims, service obligations.
2.Staff structures, division of labour, labour laws, manpower development, performance criteria, code of conduct, disciplinary procedures, counselling, recruitment process,
leave entitlements, individual and collective contracts, taxes, occupational safety and health regulations, social responsibilities.
3. Central and local government waste disposal rules, environmental issues, traffic rules and ordinances, dangerous goods act, motor trade regulations, motor vehicle manufacturing,
import legislation and export legislation, vehicle classifications, vehicle compliance, low volume certification, LTNZ, ministry of transport, warrant of fitness.
4. Professional bodies and membership, lease finance, bank loans, warranty insurance, vehicle insurance, public liability insurance, premises insurance, ACC,
