Aim: 
To enable students to gain introductory theoretical and practical concepts of land surveying.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) programme to enrol in this course.
Topics include: 

1. Basic principles of land surveying
2. Survey instruments and targets
3. Global Navigation Satellite Systems in land surveying
4. Fundamental principles and techniques of levelling
5. Traverse and co-ordinate calculations
6. Field measurements and distance measurements
