Aim: 
To enable students to develop an understanding and design expertise related to water, wastewater and storm water reticulation systems.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering Technology programme to enrol in this course. Co-requisite: ENGGMG5008. Restriction: ENGGMG6009.
Topics include: 

1. Water demand; Water reticulation system components, design and maintenance. Surface run-off determination; Infiltration; Storm water reticulation components and design, buffering, disposal and Impact.
2. Waste water sources and quantities, collection and reticulation system design and maintenance.
3. Pump station layout and components design and efficiency of water use, water metering, recycled water.
4. Use of civil engineering water, wastewater and storm water computer software.
