To enable students to develop an understanding of the practical aspects of sound civil engineering practice.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Engineering Technology programme to enrol in this course. Restriction: ENGGMG6006.
Topics include: 

1. Quality control planning
2. Safety and environmental issues
3. Civil engineering construction site design and plant
4. Earthmoving operations
5. Retaining walls and foundation construction
6. Concreting practice
7. Underground pipe systems and tunnelling
