Clubs and Sports

Getting involved in clubs and sports at Unitec is a great way to make the most of student life. Some groups and activities are led and run by students, and others are offered by Unitec for both students and staff.

Our existing clubs and groups cover cultural, sporting, religious, political, and musical interests, and much more. But there's always room for more clubs to cater to our diverse community.

You may already be running a club or group that you'd like other students to join. Tell us about it and we'll add it to our list for others to find.

If you can’t find a group that interests you, then why not start your own club or group? We can provide advice and support to help you get started.

Student-Initiated Events Fund

Unitec has a Student-Initiated Events Fund to help you cover costs for Unitec student events that you may wish to organise. If your application is successful, you'll get support to promote your event to other students, and gain other support to get your event up and running.

Unitec students are encouraged to use this fund - simply apply and tell us all the key details. Unitec's Student Council review all applications to the fund, and decide how these funds are allocated to support these events intiated by students, for students.
