Sustainable Habitat Challenge 2009 (Shac09)
Project Shac09 - Unitec New Zealand is an entrant in the 2009 Sustainable Habit Challenge, a national competition for tertiary led teams throughout New Zealand to design, develop and build a sustainable house.
"Sustainability" is one of the worlds most talked about but least understood words, for companies, countries and individuals who take the subject seriously, the term sustainability refers to the preservation of the environment along with critical development-related issues such as the efficient use of resources, continual social progress, stable economic growth, and the eradication of poverty.
