Profile

Nadesa joined Unitec as a lecturer late in August 2002.

At Unitec, Nadesa is currently the programme leader for the New Zealand Diploma in Business, Certificate in Introductory Business, Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Levels 3 and 4) programmes. As a lecturer he co-ordinates and teaches courses in the Bachelor of Business and the NZ Diploma in Business programmes. His teaching interest is in the area of management accounting.  

Prior to joining Unitec, he had worked for the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Suva, Fiji, since 1991. At the USP, he was a lecturer in the department of accounting and finance. In During his employment at USP, he also served on various committees, including the Staff Policy Committee and Finance and General Purposes Committee. Nadesa also had interest in serving the public sector  and hence while being lecturer at USP, he also served as the Director of the Public Rental Board, a government-owned enterprise responsible for low- cost public rental housing.

Nadesa's research interests are in the area of management accounting. In addition, he also has keen interest in enterprise disclosure issues where as part of his masters project he did a research on impression management in annual reports during CEO change-overs.
