Hackathon winners using AI to help businesses reduce carbon footprint

 
Their winning project was a carbon footprint tracking solution, designed to help businesses educate employees on monitoring and analysing their carbon footprint, and receiving actionable recommendations on reducing it — all without compromising business performance.

Longstanding Shandong partnership celebrated

Senior leaders from Shandong Provincial Education Department and Shandong Jianzhu University met with representatives from Unitec to explore potential new areas of collaboration in fields such as Computing, Engineering, Architecture and Management.

The 10-strong delegation of officials was led by General Director of the Shandong Provincial Education Department, Li Ming, and Vice President of Shandong Jianzhu University, Professor Qiu Liping.

According to the NZ Government's 2024 Mental Health and Addiction Inquiry, the number of New Zealanders accessing mental health and addiction services has grown a staggering 73% over the past decade. With demand soaring, the sector is under immense pressure, making it difficult for many to access the help they so desperately need.
