Unitec recognises that financial support is an important consideration for ākonga considering study. The scholarship provides both financial support and mentoring opportunities in the first semester of study.
Scholarship recipients are expected to be involved and participate in the Unitec Pacific Community.

Melissa Cameron is a 23-year old Master of Creative Practice student who recently directed and performed in a show that hybridized these two creative elements, to showcase the nature of this new up-and-coming circus theatre industry.
According to Melissa, the concept of ‘circus’, with clowns taking centre stage, is no longer the number one drawcard; instead, it has evolved into something much more enticing.

The students visited the apiary at Unitec where they met Julian McCurdy, a former beekeeper and now CEO of BuzzTech, the New Zealand company that is helping beekeepers go digital.
