To plan your trip to Unitec, you can use the Auckland Transport website. Tertiary students are eligible for discounted travel with Auckland Transport using an AT HOP card. If you haven’t got your HOP card yet, pop into Uni Mart Mt Albert to get yours or any stockist near you. To get a tertiary discount, take your Student ID to Student Central to get your tertiary sticker and then register online with Auckland Transport.
Both Unitec campuses have bike racks and showers that you can use. The Mt Albert campus is right next to the Northwestern cycleway, which links central and west Auckland. This cycleway is an easy way to get to campus, whether you are cycling from the city or from Waitākere. You can shower and leave your bike in the bike sheds behind Building 14 at the northern end of campus.
Carpooling to campus with some friends is a great way to guarantee yourself a good parking space. Staff and students who display at least two carpool permits can park in the priority spaces at either of our campuses.
If you would like to get carpooling stickers or information about carpooling, contact One Planet by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
