This course will enable students to explore a wide variety of texts and respond to them in critical and creative ways.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation programme to enrol in this course.
Topics include: 

This course will enable students to explore a wide variety of texts and respond to them in critical and creative ways. As such, the course will address the following topics
1. Nursery rhymes, oral and interactive verse.
2. Traditional and contemporary stories 3. Poetry
