Level:
6
Credits:
15 (0.125 EFTS)
Compulsory:
No
Aim:
This course will introduce students to the photographic documentary and `picture story’ form, and will be encouraged to challenge assumptions of unmediated `truth’ through the examination of historical and contemporary photographic practice. Project work will focus on the photograph as representing an objective reality, and therefore a viable form of `evidence’. Project work will also provide an experience in the use of digital video cameras and explore the photographer’s role in moving image production.
