Listed below are the Articulation/Cross Credit pathways for International students from NZ and international Tertiary Providers into Unitec qualifications listed in the 2012 international prospectus.

External Tertiary Provider Unitec Qualification (pathway)

Requirements
Academic Colleges Group (ACG), New Zealand English Language waiver Studied English language at ACG and provide a Certificate of Completion.
Computer Power Institute, New Zealand Bachelor of Computing Systems

Completed courses in the following Computer Power Institute Diplomas:

  • Diploma in Information Technology Support
  • Diploma in Systems Technology
  • Diploma in Advanced Network Engineering
  • Diploma in Network Engineering
  • Diploma in Advanced Software Development
  • Diploma in Software Development
DeSpark Auto Academy, Malaysia Bachelor of Applied Technology (Automotive Completed the Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance City & Guilds; or
Completed the Advanced Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance City & Guilds will enter with 105 specified credits.
Dynaspeak English, New Zealand English Language waiver Met the specified English module requirements.
Jinken College of Technology, China Bachelor of Applied Technology (Automotive) Completed the Jinken College 3 year Diploma of Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance; and
Overall IELTS test score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5).

Receive:

  • Entry with 120 unspecified course credits
  • Jinken students can complete Unitec BAT degree in 2 years
Languages International, New Zealand English Language waiver Completed at Languages International Language 1 or Language 2.
Natcoll Design Technology, New Zealand Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts (3rd year), major in Graphic Design and Animation
 Completed Natcoll Level 7 Diploma of Digital Media (Advanced) including Level 6 modules DM04/DM05/DM06; and
A portfolio and interview accompanied by an academic transcript detailing Level 6 and Level 7 performance.
New Zealand College of Business (NZCB), New Zealand

Bachelor of Business

English language waiver

Completed the NZCB:

  • Diploma Level 5; and/or
  • Diploma Level 6; and/or
  • Diploma Level 7
New Zealand Language Centres (NZLC), New Zealand English Language waiver

Completed the NZLC IELTS 1 or IELTS 2 course.
Shandong Economic University, China
 Bachelor of Arts (English) Completed the SEU Bachelor or Arts with at least a B grade average.

Complete courses at Unitec within specified schedule.

Required to study for a minimum of 2 semesters in the BA (EAL) at Unitec.

Receive:

  • Unitec will deliver 4 courses recognised in the SEU Bachelor of Arts in English at SEU over a 3 year period.
Shandong Economic University, China
 Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) Completed the SEU Diploma in Accountancy with at least a B grade average.

Receive:

  • Specific credits
  • SEU students can complete Unitec BBus (Acc) degree in 4 semesters
Sunway College, Malaysia Bachelor of Business (Accountancy)

Completed the CAT.

Receive:

  • Complete the Unitec BBus (Acc) in 2 years
  • Specified credits

Completed the  ACCA.

Receive:

  • Complete the Unitec BBus (Acc) in 1.5 years
  • Specified credits
The Otomotif College, Malaysia Bachelor of Applied Technology (Automotive)

Completed the TOC Diploma in Modern Automotive Technology.

Receive:

  • Complete the Unitec BAT degree in 1.5 years
  • 180 unspecified credits
Worldwide School of English, New Zealand English Language waiver Unitec will accept all Worldwide School students directly with no IELTS for our Certificate, Diploma or Degree programmes requiring an IELTS 6.0 at Unitec on citing a Worldwide School letter of recommendation and verification of English language level.
Zhongyuan University of Technology, China Bachelor of Applied Technology (Automotive) Completed first 2 years of the China National Diploma.
Complete 1 semester bridging course including English language and practical Automotive courses.

Receive:

  • 120 unspecified credits
  • Gain a further 24 credits towards Unitec BAT upon completion of bridging course
Zhongyuan University of Technology, China Bachelor of Construction Completed first 2 semesters of the ZUT Diploma of Construction Management.
Overall IELTS test score of 6.0.

Receive:

  • Specified credits
  • Complete BConst (CM) in 2 years

Completed the first 2 years of ZUT Diploma of Construction Management.

Overall IELTS test score of 5.0.

Complete Unitec BConst (CM) in modified programme including English.

Receive:

  • Specified credits
Zhongyuan University of Technology, China Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts (Photography and Media Arts)

Completed the first 2 years of the ZUT Diploma in Contemporary Photography.

Overall IELTS test score of 6.0.

Receive:

  • Complete the BDVA in 2 years

Completed the Diploma.

Overall IELTS test score of 5.0.

Receive:

  • Complete BDVA in 2.5 years including a 6 month English language programme.
