Please see our Online Application Help page if you have any problems completing your online application.
NOTE: Online application isn't available for a small number of programmes, including short courses. Where online application isn't available, New Zealand students should request an Application Pack, or download, print and return the Application/Enrolment Form for New Students.

We will contact you by post or email to acknowledge that we have received your application form. Check your email spam folder if you haven’t heard from us. If you need to supply more details to progress your application, we will let you know.
4. Additional admission requirements
Some programmes have additional admission requirements. For example, you may need to complete additional forms, be interviewed, have an audition, or present a portfolio of work. You will be notified of the details if this is applicable.
5. Offer of place
If your application is successful you will receive an offer of place. This might be conditional on you meeting specific requirements.
6. Acceptance
If you are offered a place you normally have 14 days to accept or decline.
7. Payment
Once you have accepted your place, your fees are payable. For short courses, fees are payable at the time of applying. For all other programmes, fees need to be paid seven days before you start.
You will either be sent an invoice in the post or you can access your invoice online by logging into the self-service portal, myUnitec.
Student loans and allowances are available to eligible students. Please visit the Studylink website to apply online before you are accepted by Unitec.
We also offer a range of scholarships and study awards.
