How do I pay my fees - Domestic Students?

The deadline for payment of student tuition fees is seven days prior to the start of your programme.

Payment can be made by cheque, EFTPOS, credit card, or in the form of an approved application for a Student Loan.  Please follow the link for more detailed options on how to pay your fees.

Please visit StudyLink to check your eligibility and to apply for a Student Loan.

Paying your fees or organising your Student Loan by the due date will ensure that you have access to the full range of student services available such as ID cards, library and printing services. Some programmes have special deadlines for payment of fees, so please take note of these to ensure your place in the class.

If you are Applying for a short course other than Nursing, you must make a payment when you register. Payment can be made by cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.

If you are applying for a nursing short course such as Nursing in Aotearoa (also known as the Competency Assessment Programme), you don't need to make a payment until you are enrolled.

You may be eligible for a refund of 90% of the course fee paid only if you withdraw and request the refund in writing at least 7 days before the short course class start date. If there are insufficient numbers registered for a short course, Unitec reserves the right to postpone or cancel classes. If classes are cancelled a 100% refund of the fee paid shall apply. No refund shall apply in any other circumstances.

Please note that some short courses are not eligible for a Student Loan. If you are not sure if you can get a Student Loan for your short course(s), please contact us.
