Pacific Centre

We are your first port of call for academic support, careers advice, scholarship information, financial advice right through to personal and cultural support.

We also run social events throughout the year to help you settle in, like orientation activities, fanau evenings and Pacific graduation dinner, as well as academic workshops to support you in your studies.

Feel free to use the drop-in centre, study space and computer facilities while you’re here. The Pacific Centre also supports postgraduate students and Pacific research projects.

Pacific Orientation 2020

At the beginning of each semester our Pacific Centre team host a special Pacific Orientation. It aims to help new students get prepared for studying with us, and where they can go for support.

On the day there is a formal welcome, a chance to meet the Pacific Centre team and Pacific staff from across Unitec, information on academic and personal support, and an opportunity to connect with other Pacific students.

Pacific Assignment Retreats

These assignment retreats are set-up as a time and space for Pacific students to be able to work on their coursework, assignments, or study for exams. Our Pacific Academic Development Lecturers, from Student Learning & Achievement, are available on the day to provide academic support. Food provided on the day also!

We encourage all Pacific students to take up this opportunity, as these assignment retreats are set-up to support you in your academic studies.
