STUDENTS IN AUCKLAND BUILD NEW, HEALTHY HOMES FOR WHĀNAU IN NEED

Bachelor of Architecture graduate and Ngā Wai A Te Tūī researcher Keisha Rawiri (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Hāmoa) has been awarded a grant from The Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust (KEECT) which will contribute to her Master of Architecture (Professional) Project supporting the regeneration of Tau Henare Marae in Te Taitokerau (Northland).

The world’s top university, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has awarded Jacqueline Paul (Ngā Puhi, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) a full ride scholarship. (This means one that covers all expenses, including tuition, books, fees, room and board)

Jeron Gwaite’e was the first member of his family to go on to tertiary study after leaving school, and he credits the Manaaki scholarship programme with helping him secure a life-changing opportunity.
