Penman House Tuapapa Rangahau

The Tūāpapa Rangahau team, outside Penman House on Unitec’s Mt Albert campus.

Tūāpapa Rangahau, partnering Research and Enterprise

Tūāpapa Rangahau, partnering Research and Enterprise is the hub for the research strategy implementation, management and administration of all staff and student research and related enterprise that is taking place at Unitec.

As well as collecting and reporting on all of Unitec’s research activities and outputs, the team manages Unitec’s Performance Based Research Fund (PBRF) activities and supports staff to build their PBRF portfolios.

The team helps staff seek and win external funding for research projects and is a point of contact for external stakeholders wishing to engage with Unitec and its expert staff.

The office is responsible for commercialisation activity, technology transfer and the management of intellectual property. Unitec also operates an internal research fund, overseen by the Unitec Research Committee, which acts as a seed fund to support staff’s exciting, real-world research projects.
