Aim: 
To critically review the application of web based systems in industry, commerce and research. To comprehensively examine a wide range of web related technologies and their roles in planning, developing and managing web based systems.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Master of Computing programme or the Postgraduate Diploma in Computing programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: Academic Leader approval.
Topics include: 

Investigate and analyse the requirements for an enterprise web based system, identify the most common web based system architecture, critically evaluate and determine technologies/tools for developing and maintaining web based system,
research design issues related to content, appearance, media and architecture, research, specify and implement enterprise web based systems, analyse the usability & accessibility for an enterprise web based system,
plan/conduct web based system testing, investigate server-side administrative issues, evaluate client-side considerations, analyse security problems, explore methodologies relating to enterprise web based system project management,
explore management issues relating to security, encryption, verification, site auditing, certification, privacy and copyright.
