English Language Learning Collection 

If you're learning English as a new language, or are working towards improving your fluency in English, there is a Language Learning Collection with a number of resources available to support your journey. 


Our collection offers a number of self-access resources for all levels, from beginner to advanced, that you can use for independent study. You will also find helpful information on how to use the resources to guide your learning. 

Resources include:

  • CD Roms and DVDs*
  • Music CDs and song sheets
  • Readers*
  • Course-books
  • Materials focusing on English for special or academic purposes
  • Dictionaries
  • Documentaries and information about life in New Zealand
  • Learning strategy materials

*DVDs and readers can be borrowed for up to two weeks and can be checked out by our self-service machines or from the Ask Me desk.

You can find the English Language Learning Collection within our Building 180 (Te Puna) Library on our Mt Albert campus.
