Organisational Change and Development (APMG8112)

This course of study provides students with an enhanced capability to critically evaluate the ability of small business principals to manage all aspects of change in the context of developing business organisations.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Master of Business programme or the Postgraduate Diploma in Business programme to enrol in this course.
Topics include: 

The stages of business growth
challenges, problems, opportunities. The origins of organisational change
dimensions of change, building a change profile, risk implications of the change process. The role of the manager
contrasting management and leadership, impacts of change on organisational culture, self-assessment of personal change management competency. Characteristics of change
strategy and change, change targets, interdependence of targets. Change management models
the change management process, implications for the firm's risk profile, organisational change models. Managing change business growth
practices, tools and techniques.
