For this group of exercises (6, 7 and 8), species distribution modelling is demonstrated using Maxent (Philipps et al., 2006) to show how to produce the suitability maps for a species based on its occurrence and environmental layers for the area covered.

- In Modelbuilder, Clip the Bioclim layer to the New Zealand coastline
- Set the NoData value to -9999
- Convert the resulting raster file into ASCII files which is required by Maxent
