Interested in sport and fitness but need some help to get started? Develop your study and exam preparation skills, and gain a better understanding of leadership in sport, sport skills and athletic performance.
Are you passionate about sport leadership and sport performance? The Sport pathway helps you develop your skills and confidence for further study in sport. The focus is on improving your study skills, including your academic reading and writing, report writing and exam preparation skills. You also explore leadership in sport, fitness testing, sport skills, athletic performance, nutrition and issues relating to athletic profiles, public image, and sport and the media.
Highlights
- A good preparation if you’re thinking about enrolling in Unitec’s Diploma in Sport and Fitness Education or Bachelor of Sport and don’t currently meet the admission requirements for these two programmes.
- Hands-on experience through interactive discussions, seminars, debates and practical activities.
- Small classes, giving you plenty of one-on-one time with our friendly and supportive lecturers.
- Unitec Study Award: once you've successfully completed this programme, you may be able to apply for a Unitec Study Award, which will contribute towards the cost of your fees for one semester of further study at Unitec.
