Professional Accountancy Preparation Workshop
(Formerly the PCE-1 Preparation Workshop)
The examination
To be a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants you must complete the Foundations Programme (formerly the PCE-1). The NZICA Foundations Programme consists of two parts - a one day workshop followed by an exam the next day.
How can our workshop help?
Unitec's Professional Accountancy Preparation Workshop prepares you for both components of the programme, offering a one-day workshop with senior Unitec lecturers.
The workshop will help you gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the NZICA Foundations Programme. All the relevant topic areas are covered, increasing a candidate’s opportunity to pass the Foundations Programme.

The intensive one-day workshop includes:
- Face-to-face discussion with facilitators
- Practice in answering questions and evaluating professional issues
- Team exercises
- A chance to meet and network with others sitting the exam
- Feedback on how to approach and answer in full the self-assessment questions.
- Helpful examination techniques.
