Our Links to Industry
We’re proud of our links with the construction and civil engineering industries. In fact we regularly offer our students the opportunity to attend an Employers’ Event, held right here on campus. On the night, students get the chance to meet and discuss employment and career options with representatives from some of New Zealand’s leading construction and engineering companies.
Regardless of the current economic climate, there’s still a major skills shortage. That’s why so many employers want to meet our students while they are studying, with a view to having them join their company once they graduate.
It’s a win-win situation for both parties – students are given the opportunity of holiday work, scholarships, internships or permanent employment, while employers gain well-trained, qualified employees.
