Programme summary

Prepare yourself for working life. Find out how to find, secure and maintain employment, and improve your personal skills. This is a programme for adults and mature school leavers with learning difficulties or an intellectual disability.

Do you want to prepare yourself for employment? The Certificate in Employment and Community Skills is designed for adults and mature school leavers with learning difficulties or an intellectual disability who want to learn new skills and move into employment.

 

Learn about goal setting and develop employment skills, community skills, and recreation and leisure skills. Gain knowledge and skills required to travel independently and locate community support agencies. You’ll also further your literacy and numeracy skills, and find out more about New Zealand, and health and welfare issues. Because most companies are using computers, you also learn computer skills.
