Aim: 
To enable participants to consider the complex inter-relationship and complementary roles of governance and management in leading not for profit organisations from perspectives inclusive of Te ao Maori and other contextually relevant cultural frameworks.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Graduate Diploma in Not for Profit Management programme or the Graduate Certificate in Not for Profit Management programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: CSTU5010. Restriction for GDNPM: CSTU7760.
Topics include: 

Governance and management, leadership models and styles, organisational structures and power, not for profit legal frameworks, analysing environmental trends impacting on organisation and mission, strategy, policy, planning & monitoring, stewardship, managing risk, crisis management, accountability, conflicts of interest.
