Toi Mahi Raranga - Māori Fibre Weaving Course One

In this course you learn basic weaving skills, develop competence in weaving patterns and increase conservation awareness through traditional practices. You weave a variety of kono, purses, containers and kete.

Raranga Whatu - Māori Fibre Weaving

Students will create a piece of work using a combination of methods for weaving and the techniques for the construction of capes, kete muka and contemporary pieces. This short course will focus on the preparation of muka and the whatu technique.
