New Students
Applying to enrol as a student at Unitec Institute of Technology is easy. First decide if you are a New Zealand or an international student by selecting below:
New Zealand students (New Zealand and Australian citizens or permanent residents, and citizens of Niue, the Cook Islands, and Tokelau are counted as having New Zealand residency for the purposes of study)
Simply follow the enrolment steps on the next page once you have selected the type of student you are.
If you wish to be identified as a New Zealand Maori and need help identifying your iwi, please refer to the Standard Iwi Classification document.
Unitec operates an open application policy; this means we welcome applications at any time of the year. If the programme that you are applying for has already started, or there are no places available, we will provide you with the details of the next scheduled programme.
