Te Noho Kotahitanga - The Partnership
Te Noho Kotahitanga - The Partnership, is a Unitec document enshrining the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and ensuring Treaty issues are considered in all of our activities.

Maia Māori Centre
Māori students can visit the Maia Māori Centre for advice and support.

Mātauranga Māori Electives
Maia Māori Centre offer a suite of Mātauranga Māori Electives which explore the many layers of Māori culture; te reo Māori (the Māori Language), the protocols of marae, Māori philosophy and cosmology, and arts such as tā moko (tattooing) and raranga (weaving).

Pae Arahi
Unitec's Pae Arahi supports all Māori students and works to elevate Unitec's status and profile in the Māori community.

Unitec Marae
The Unitec marae is a symbol of our respect for a bi-cultural society as expressed through Te Noho Kotahitanga and is a shared resource for students, staff and the community.

Te Puna Reo o Wairaka
Parents can take their children to Te Puna Reo o Wairaka Māori Language Early Childhood Centre, which delivers high-quality early childhood education through immersion in te reo Māori me nga tikanga.
