Ask I.M.S. helpdesk
The Ask I.M.S. helpdesk provides technical support for a wide range of Unitec's computer and IT services.  

Contact the Ask I.M.S. helpdesk on ext. 8484 or email askims@unitec.ac.nz.

Please note, the Ask I.M.S. helpdesk will NOT be able to assist students with:

  • Training in specialist software
  • Advice on the purchase of computer, software and consumables
  • Support for student owned computers and software.

Computer labs
We offer free computer labs for students at our Mt Albert, Waitakere and Northern campuses.

 

Moodle (eLearn)
Moodle provides an online learning environment for your courses where your lecturers can post assignments, lesson notes, course materials and resources, and facilitate discussions with you and your classmates.

If you are having trouble logging in to Moodle, contact the Ask I.M.S. helpdesk on ext. 8484 or email askims@unitec.ac.nz.

 

MyUnitec login
The student portal allows you to re-enrol online, access your assignment and exam and course results, check and pay your course fees, browse class timetables and update your personal details. You can also access your F: network drive.

Login to myUnitec using your network username and password.

 

Student email (Wairaka.com)
As a current student, you automatically received a Wairaka (Google) account that provides Google's Gmail, Calendar and Documents apps that can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.

Login to your Wairaka account using your network username and password.

 

Wireless network
Connect your wireless device to Unitec's free wireless network for internet connectivity, email, and a range of applications on the Unitec network.

Please note: Blackboard is no longer available and was phased out during 2011.
All assignment details, lecture notes and course material can be accessed by logging in to Moodle.
