Short Courses (Garden Design)

Unitec's short course in garden design provides an inspirational introduction to landscape design for the home garden.

The course is a useful taster for anyone interested in applying for the Certificate in Home Garden Design or Diploma in Landscape Design.

Our lecturers are all qualified practicing garden designers with a wealth of knowledge and talent in garden design to share with you.

The course consists of eight, 2-hour sessions from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on a Wednesday evening, and a visit to the Botanic Gardens on one Saturday. Topics include theory of garden design, creation of outdoor rooms, design principles, successful plant selection and planting design. Both beginners and experienced gardeners are welcome.
