Aim: 
To provide students with a practical learning experience in which they can employ advanced theories, concepts and techniques in specialised screen creative practice for. This course focuses on enabling students to consolidate their ability to create and realise complex screen work in a variety of contexts. There is also a focus on the ability of students to critically evaluate their own performance.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts programme or the Graduate Diploma in Creative Practice programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisites: PASA7331 or PASA7341 or PASA7351 or PASA7361 or PASA7371.
Topics include: 

Associations, implications and interpretations pertaining to a given concept or brief Advanced visual language in film and documentary narrative
Budgets, schedules, and associated paperwork Collaborative skills, Communication and presentation strategies and techniques Contracts/credits/rights and responsibilities
Creative ownership, Creative process as a personal practice Creative production process that enhance communication through means of presentation Creative production work and contextual associations, Realising creative concepts innovatively
Critical social responsibility and a hermeneutic, historical perspective in creative production Digital technologies Effective interaction with production teams
Ethics and accountability in creative practice, Intellectual property Imaginative and innovative responses to the creation/execution of work Implications and outcomes of a conceptual approach to creative production
Independence and critical analysis in creative research Integrating theory and practice in the invention, aesthetics, function, and critique of creative production proposals
Management of creative process, business, and production Organisational and interactive aspects of creative production, Diagnosis of operational problems Complex responsibilities and procedures in production context

Topics may be taught in an integrated manner in both practical/workshop/lab and lecture/seminar/tutorial modes
