- To enable students to think critically and communicate effectively for academic and business purposes in such modes as the presentation of proposals and reports, and to conduct basic research procedures. It prepares students for successful management of communication applications in the academic and business environment.
- Pre-requisites / Co-requisites:
- Restriction: COMM5442.
- Topics include:
the writing process; "sources and resources" - information in the 21st century; information management; databases; referencing and Endnote; understanding purpose, form and content; critical thinking; short documents
memos, letters and emails; graphic design and layout; presentation skills; business proposal; executive summary; business report; style in business writing; peer review; proof reading and editing.
