Aim: 
This course introduces the principles of communication, knowledge construction, and academic literacy and develops scholarly skills in preparation for academic and professional practice
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the BNursing or Bach Applied Science (Human Bio) or Bach Sport or Bach Applied Science or Bach Health & Social Developmt or Bach Social Practice to enrol in this course.
Topics include: 

Modes of enquiry (Research Methods), Knowledge construction, Enquiry-based Learning (Process), Academic literacy (Reading for meaning, writing for purpose and audience), Information literacy (Computer skills, IT media, library sourcing),
Communication skills (listening, written, verbal, online); Reflective writing skills (methods; purpose).
