Aim: 
The course facilitates the development and justification of a personal pedagogical philosophy for early childhood education in relation to children, whanau and communities. Students will critically analyse ethical, professional and leadership issues guiding their practice.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) programme to enrol in this course. Pre-reqs: EDUC6905 & EDUC6921 & EDUC6922 & EDUC6923 & EDUC6924 & EDUC6927 & (EDUC6928 or (6929 & 6529)).

Images of the teacher, Images of the child, Teacher development, Critical and inclusive pedagogy, Pedagogical Philosophy, Self reflection on practice and philosophy, Styles of leadership in early childhood settings, Team and small group leadership, cont
