Aim: 
To enable students to gain the confidence to create, critically examine and realise a personal practice, specific choreographic projects and dance performance. This course focuses on enabling students to demonstrate how these concepts contribute to their personal voice as a creative artist/practitioner.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts programme or the Graduate Diploma in Creative Practice programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: PASA7223 and PASA7225.
Topics include: 

Accurate interpretation of the choreography during performance Advanced use of weight, flow and momentum
Awareness of ongoing personal and professional needs and directions Body intelligence
Choreographic practices that are pertinent to dance as social comment and place dance as positional discourse Collaborative skills, communication and presentation strategies and techniques
Complex choreographic approaches and sense of musicality Contracts/credits/rights and responsibilities, Intellectual property Creative ownership and process as a personal practice
Dynamics of systems in motion and dramatic modes of expression Effective interaction with production teams Ethics and accountability in creative practice
Implications and outcomes of a conceptual approach to creative production Independence and critical analysis in creative research
Production design, management and technologies, Lighting technology, Digital technologies, Music, Costume, Lighting, Sound and scenography
Motion and force / stability and balance, Movement Analysis and habits Multi-media/Audio-visual technology Organisational and interactive aspects of creative production

Topics may be taught in an integrated manner in both practical/workshop/lab and lecture/seminar/tutorial modes
Activities include self-directed learning, individual and class exercises, field trips, work in groups, guest lectures and on-line discussion and reflection
Collaborative projects
