Aim: 
To critically review the application of data warehousing and its architecture in industry, commerce, and research and to comprehensively examine a wide range of Data warehousing techniques and technologies including Big Data for developing efficient data warehouse solutions for Business Intelligence.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Master of Computing programme or the Postgraduate Diploma in Computing programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisite: Department Consent.
Topics include: 

Investigate requirements for developing efficient data warehouse solutions,
assess techniques and technologies used in data warehousing for facilitating decision making process and business intelligence,
discuss, critically review, and analyse business intelligence requirements, data quality requirements, and performance requirements for data warehousing,
critically review data modeling techniques, On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process, data quality assurance, Big Data and related SQL/NoSQL techniques,
analyse and evaluate data quality assurance techniques and critically review best practices.
