Aim: 
The purpose of this course is to foster the development of the learner-practitioner who embraces life-long, personal and professional advancement.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Technology programme to enrol in this course. Restriction: APPT6116.
Topics include: 

A learning contact will be developed between the student and the Course Coordinator acting for the Programme Director. This contract will stipulate
1 A sub-title that identifies the area of study 2. Learning outcomes
3. Capabilities 4. The form of the assessment 5. Resourcing requirements.
The contract will include a statement that there will be no duplication work undertaken for other courses. In approving the Negotiated study, the Course Coordinator will ensure that the study Fits the regulations for the programme
Matches the national descriptor for level 6 Reflects the aims and objectives of the programme Involves work completely separate from that undertaken for the Industry Project
Retains the overall coherence of the programme Is relevant to the content taught in the programme.
