Aim: 
To introduce the main concepts and parameters governing architectural design, through the exploration and resolution of simple architectural propositions.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Architectural Studies programme to enrol in this course. Restriction: ARCH5111. Students must complete both ARCH5112-SA & ARCH5112-SB to complete the course.
Topics include: 

The course is based in a sequence of simple thematic and typological design problems addressing fundamental architectural issues including space, light, scale, site, boundary, and context relationships. (Learning outcomes 1,4,5).
Architectural representation topics include the study of hard-line orthographic, perspective, axonometric, figurative, composition and colour (Learning outcomes 2,3,5).
